Spicy, Warm and Comfy Pasta

I love pasta, any kind of pasta and this dish is one of my favourites.  The smooth mix of a tomato and alfredo sauce plus a little spice makes it so warm and comforting.  It’s the kind of dish you want to enjoy a big bowlful while sitting on the sofa watching your favourite show.  I never make my own sauce, I usually use my mom’s but I didn’t have any jars left.  If I do buy a jar I always buy Classico.  You will want to scoop up heaps of this sauce so use rigatoni is it will carry it well.

This is how I made it:

  • 1 tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 18; teaspoon salt
  • 18; teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 4 garlic cloves , chopped
  • 2 boneless/skinless chicken breasts sliced
  • 1 jar of Classico Vodka Sauce
  • 1 jar of Classico Alfredo Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 500 grams of pasta, cooked
Crush the red pepper flakes in a pestle and mortar with the black pepper and salt.  Heat up the olive oil in a pot, toss in the garlic and then the red pepper mix.  Once garlic is translucent, add the chicken and brown.  Empty both jars into the pot, stir and let simmer for about an hour.  Cook the rigatoni and toss with the sauce.
